Chorus to bring back Rahul as President is gaining momentum in Congress Party

New Delhi, Aug 16, 2020:

As the major political parties are gearing up for the Bihar elections, the chorus to bring back Rahul Gandhi as the Party President is gaining momentum in the Congress Party.

In a hard hitting emotionally written letter to Rahul Gandhi,  AICC secretary Challa Vamshi Chand Reddy has said, “It is still enigmatic that a leader like you, with a deep political insight and understanding of the current affairs & human relations, does not intend to understand the anguish of millions of Congress soldiers who are ready to shed their sweat and blood for the party at your behest.”

“India today is under tremendous communal tension and our economic system is going intolerably out of gear. In almost insoluble situations like this, you are standing tall and fighting against divisive politics, Godse ideology, inequities of society. Particularly noteworthy are your plans and policies to eradicate poverty, reduce unemployment, empower youth and women, ensure social justice, improve foreign relations, uplift the caste oppressed,” said Challa Vamshi Chand Reddy.

Stressing on his demand to Rahul Gandhi to come back and lead the party, Challa Vamshi Chand Reddy in his letter said, “How do you not think of reconsidering our demand and step up the President chair? Do you have an option to abstain from executing people’s will, which is against your genetic virtue?

Without mentioning the recent incident of Rajasthan, Challa Vamshi Chand Reddy said, “Today when our party and the workers are going astray without your guidance and leadership, we strongly feel the need of having you step back as the President-INC, more than ever. Despite great insistence on you taking back the reins of the party, we are unable to understand your blatant disregard for our opinion and demand. Is it not your responsibility to uphold our conviction and act accordingly? What else would a party and its staunch followers ask, except for a charismatic leader with proven ability, like you?”

It all started with senior leaders like Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, who urged Rahul Gandhi to return as Congress president at the CWC meeting last week. Some Congress functionaries have also written to Congress president Sonia Gandhi with the same demand.

Earlier former Rajya Sabha MP Hussain Dalwai had argued saying “Rahul is the most acceptable face as a leader. Rahul is that one voice and the right person to represent and address national challenges.” Dalwai has written that Rahul has dared to raise many crucial issues while no leader from any other party dared to raise issues that affect the whole country.

Meanwhile the opposition Congress is targeting the government over the LAC issue. On the other hand the ruling BJP has asked its leaders to find ways to convince the cadre that the government is doing everything to protect the nation whereas it was the mismanagement of past Congress governments that led to the current problems.

Accordingly, the BJP MP and former Union minister Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, has tried to explain the border situation through a Facebook Live with people in Rajasthan. He blamed Jawaharlal Nehru for the troubles at the border and said it was important to know the history, geography, Chinese intentions, why such transgressions are happening and Chinese strategies to understand the situation.
